Fun at Visegrád Castle

This weekend we went to a festival in Visegrád. Visegrád Castle was built on top of this high hill overlooking the Danube by King Béla IV of Hungary in 1240. It was partially destroyed by the Turk invasion in the 1600's and never used again. It was really cool to walk through it. We went on a ferry across the Danube and when we got to the top of the castle, we could look over the beautiful countryside of Hungary.

We really enjoyed getting to see a different part of Hungary besides the busy city of Budapest. We are about to hit 3 months being here. We were told in the beginning that for most pe
ople, 3 months is a hard turning point. This is the point where the fun of being in a new place goes away and you start to get homesick. However, in our case, things happened quite differently and I think we are just now starting to enjoy the city and accept being here. Next week we will be going to Lake Balaton and hope to make some good friendships there.
